On Friday, May 2nd, TRC welcomed more than 40 community members at our Open House—an evening filled with connection, reflection, and youth-driven impact. The room was alive with conversation as guests explored how TRC is working alongside BIPOC youth to advance equity, healing, and systems change across Wake County.
From moving youth-led storytelling to interactive displays, the event offered a meaningful look into the heart of our work. One standout moment was the debut of the Triple E (Equity, Environment & Engagement) Action Team’s photovoice project—a powerful visual exploration of issues like food access, sustainability, and neighborhood change through the lens of youth experiences.
We’re especially grateful to Aspire Counseling & Consulting Services for sponsoring the event and making the evening possible. Guests also enjoyed delicious appetizers from Flying Biscuit Café and had the opportunity to connect with TRC staff, youth leaders, and fellow supporters who share a vision of community-rooted change.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, listened deeply, and affirmed the voices of our young people. We’re excited to keep building this movement together.
