Noel, a former TRC Changemaker from 2020 and current Social and Human Services student at Wake Technical Community College is dedicated to serving youth and mental health initiatives. As a first-generation Latino college student, he aspires to obtain a Doctorate of Social Work (DSW). His goal is to eventually lead The Resiliency Collaborative and focus on youth leadership and mental health through the establishment of his own counseling practice. Noel is particularly passionate about addressing the negativity surrounding mental health issues among young men of color and aims to foster transformative healing through essential conversations.
In January 2024, Noel returned to The Resiliency Collaborative as a Program Coordinator and later transitioned to Program Manager in November. He brings extensive experience working with youth across various age groups, currently serving as a Membership Engagement Specialist at the YMCA. When he is not working, Noel enjoys quality time with family and friends, working out at the gym, and playing video games.
